Story telling sunday

Well its the first Sunday of the month again :) Also the 1st of September which IMO means the start of tea, slow cooked meals, wellies and walks though the woods and snuggling up on the couch with books and films. I LOVE this time of year :) Its also the start of the time when I can start to talk about Christmas without TOO much moaning from people, lol, well maybe a little longer before that happens but oh well :p
As its the first Sunday of the month that means storytelling Sunday again. :) This month I've picked my Eeyore figure.
With Mark being poorly, I don't get surprises like most wives do. He doesn't go anywhere on his own, doesn't have any of his own money and 99% of the time doesn't have the right mindframe to think of surprises anyway. Years ago however, before the kids were born he surprised me with this.
It was at the start of his illness getting really bad where his mind would swing from no use whatsoever to moments of clarity, I'm guessing it was during one of these moments he bought it though when it arrived in the post he had no memory of it lol. I'm a huge eeyore fan and this one is called 'When it rains you're always there for me' I like to think Mark knew what he was doing when he bought it for me :) It does make me a little sad that that 'romantic' side of my life is over so I treasure reminders of it, but I know how lucky I am to still have such a loving husband still with me so I don't mind too much :)

  2. I think it applies now to both of you! I'm a big Eeyore fan too - drinking my mocha from one of my two Eeyore mugs as I read :)
