Everyones home :)
Well this morning was a bit of a rush lol, sleep was difficuilt to come by over the weekend, friday night I struggled to sleep as with Cameron and Mark gone the house just felt too quiet, Caitlin shared my bed and snores like a hippo, plus someone thought 3am was a great time to set off a load of fireworks! Saturday night I put kids to sleep in their beds, couldnt get to sleep myself to moved them in with me :) Ok not really the best thing to do but they were fine and I slept a bit better.......untill a car alarm in the next street kept going off. This went on for about an hour, Cam woke up bless him and half asleep asked 'What do we do now Mummy the smoke alarm is going off!' the police eventually showed up then a screaming match broke out.
So last night everyone was home, no fireworks, no alarms, and everyone must have needed it because we all slept in! School starts at 9, 8:30 we woke up, lol. Amazed we got to school on time.
Love this picture I took of them in my bed. how peaceful do they look :)
Mark had a good weekend away, took it out of him though so hes still in bed at nearly 1pm lol. Think though his mates do slow down for him and take his illness into account they're still young lads iykwim. Sweetheart that he is he brought back some sweets for me from an american import store. I love trying new sweets from other countries lol, my mum brought me a huge bag from Australia when she went and can still remember the 'mint flake' honest to god tasted exactly like colgate toothpaste! let the kids in my class at the time try it and they all hated it lol. One way to put them off chocolate. :) So had a nice night last night watching dr who again (and crying again) and trying the sweets. This is my review:
Twinkies - Nice, tastes like syrup spongecake with cream. leaves a strange film in your mouth though :S
Baby ruth - Liked this too, similar to a snickers bar but the nougat is more of a fudge consistency.
Jolt cola - had this this morning and OMG this was YUM! I didnt think the caffine had had any effect at first but then realised Id painted the hall, put washing out, tidied both rooms, scrubbed the kitchen and put dinner in the slow cooker and only 2 hours had passed!
Milk duds - more yum, basically toffee poppets with less choc and more toffee.
Jolly ranchers - hard boiled sweets which we used to get in the uk but dont for some reason now. Nice but nothing special.
Twizzlers - UGH!!! nobody in the family would eat them, rubbery with very little taste. Ended up in the bin lol.
Koolaid not had yet but will try later lol
More painting being done today, lol. Need to finish the woodwork in the hall as ran out of gloss last time, then the kids are desperate to help with painting again so going to very throughly cover the carpet upstairs with towels and old sheets and let them paint the hallway lol.

Less decluttering, more relocating
Sitting here at the moment watching Dr Who. Cameron wanted to watch this one as quite a few kids in his class watch it but knowing it was about the weeping angels (creepy!) and that it was Amy and Rorys last episode (sad!) managed to convince him to wait until next year when it starts again. We are trying to get him to watch more grown up tv as currently its mainly Lilo and stitch, Mr bean and Peppa pig (caitlins mainly the instigator of that one)and the kids at his school seem to be watching The spiderman movies and the new batman film :s I personally think they're a bit young but obviously don't want Cam to feel left out so agreed I'd watch the dr whos first then let him see them the next day if not too bad. Its hard to get the balance really and hes only 5! Dreading when hes older and wanting £90 trainers because everyone else has them.
Well todays been pretty productive, as I've said before I've seriously got to cut down loads of craft stuff to make room, but thats seriously easier said than done. I've used loads, chucked and sold but for the space I had I'd basically have to get rid of all my punches, dies, inks, paints the lot, and just keep a few kits and papers. Um, NOT going to happen! So decided to box it all up and put it in the garage while keeping all the papers inside. Problem there is needing to go through boxes and boxes to see if I have something to go with the layout I'm doing. So finally found a use for this :)
One of my many notebooks I buy because I like it and then never put anything in it, lol. So today I spent punching paper, listing stickles and paints and running dies through my cuttlebug, which Caitlin seriously enjoyed helping with lol.
So as a result I've now got 4 boxes packed away with easy acsess and managed to put a whole shelving unit in there too and out of the livingroom. Just need to get a wire to move the tv and computer to the other side of the room now!!! :)

Respite weekend
Well this weekend is my respite, once a year Mark mates take him away for the weekend giving me a break, which I love and hate in pretty much equal measure. I love Mark obviously but being a carer 24/7 for not just the kids but him too is hard work. I can put the kids on the naughty step if they don't do as they're told, not so easy with him. So I love the break, but I also hate being apart. Worrying if his mates are taking care of him (they always have done but thats not the point lol) and feeling guilty that I'm relaxing without him.
But it is what it is, and I know if I sit about doing nothing I'll regret it when he comes home, so I've managed to stuff as much as possible into today lol.
This morning was a proud Mummy morning :) Cameron got a certificate in assembly for always doing his best and being so well behaved :) Was glad that timing allowed Mark to go too. :)
After that was home to clean, pack Marks bits, then dropping Mark off at the train station to meet his mates. Town, shopping, bank and coffee with mum (MUCH needed at that point!) Then home to pick up kids, do dinner and planned to relax. Yeah that didnt happen! For some reason whenever Marks away I decide now is the time to get some big job done. I get too restless without a million things to do I think. So with Camerno at my Mums, me and Caitlin decided to put on MTV and start painting the living room :)
She actually loved it, lol, she was gutted when it was done lol. Well as much as we could do was done, I wasn't about to start pulling out the PC and all that with caitin at my ankles! Thats a job for when shes at school I think lol. Would like to do it tomorrow but mums coming round tomorrow night for pizza and games with the kids so will be gutting the house for that visit! Think she worries about me being on my own, typical mum I guess. :) Right well I've got to finish putting the livingroom back together and then off to bed!

Really should be doing something productive.....
Well its 2:40 and I'm sitting on my laptop with dickensons real deal on the tv. To be honest no idea why as the remotes next to me and by god it's dull but there you go lol. Had a very productive morning and think thats my motivation for the day gone lol.
Crafting is going well :)Finished the Christmas box and Christmas notebook for some swaps I'm in and punched out most of the boarders for the bunting for my mum. Quite enjoying doing crafting but think I'm going to try and do some layouts too, seriously got to cut down on my stash which while a bit depressing on one hand I'm so looking forward to having my livingroom sorted I can make do. Most of my dies and punches are going to have to be relocated to the garage so got to make a list of what I have so I can look without having to go out there each time I want to do something lol.
On the topic of lists they seem to dominate my life at the moment, lol. I'm starting to get everything planned for Christmas which seriously seems to take longer each year. This year more so than others as with all the DIY housewise and homemade gifts theres sooooooo much to keep track of, still enjoying it though, I think I thrive under pressure lol, get too complacent when everythings all calm.
Speaking of calm though Caitlin went into school today all by herself. :) Was so proud of her. She wasnt going to do it but when I was talking to her another Mum suggested her daughter walk in with caitlin as she was a little worried too. Funnily enough both girls had the exact same water cup, both with broken lids in the exact same place lol. Very odd coincidence but was enough to strike up a comradary between them and they walked in quite happy together. :) That said when Caitlin went into the classroom, i was waving and giving thumbs up to say well done, and though she smiled at me there was certainly a 'I'm not impressed with you' look behind her smile. lol. Think I might pay for it later.

WOYWW
Been aggggggges since I've done one of these. As Christmas is coming up I've started on my Christmas crafts. :) Money is seriously tight this year with one thing or another so will be making a lot of gifts and want to get a head start. My mums also asked me to make bunting for her to decorate the living room. All well and good except I know my mum, theres an image in her head of what she wants and I'm betting what I make won't match it lol. She'll be fine with it anyway but really want her to like it.
Her colour scheme is red, black, silver and grey so so far I've cut the flags in those colours.
Fair bit left still to do! House is going well :) Bathroom is finished as my Dad came round yesterday and laid the lino for us. cameron bless him was so excited to have a bath in our 'new bathroom' amazing the difference paint and new flooring can do :) This week it's the kitchen and the hallway getting re-done. New paint, blind put up in kitchen and new decorations in hall. The blind for the kitchen we actually bought nearly 3 years ago but I LOTHE putting up blinds so still havent done it yet! Right well better get on :) Got a lot on the to-do list today lol.

Calmer day?
God I'm hoping its a calmer day today. Kids ended up not going to the party as their behaviour was just dreadful, so had two crying, angry kids in the end. Not started well this morning as Caitlin seems to be in a strop with everyone but ah well. Shes easier than Cameron as he has huge meltdowns, she just sulks.
We were planning on having a trip to the park today, but as its freezing and threatening rain the kids wanted to stay home and make a 'fun list'. This is an idea I made up over the holidays to keep kids happy while Mark and I had some time to relax or do jobs. Each of us has a list of things to do with the kids, today mine has 'model making, cooking, painting and computer games' while marks has 'playdough, golf, tv, board game' (nice simple stuff to supervise) we each take it turns to do something with the kids from the list while the other does whatever. My turn was first and Cameron choose cooking, so we made pancakes :)
I love pancakes, not to eat granted just to make, lol, they're SO easy and the kids love them. For those who don't know how to make them this is the recipe I use
1 cup plain flour
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vannila essence
mix it all up and pour into frying pan. :) You can add bits like chocolate chips or fruit but mine dont like that (strange kids, Id add chocolate to pretty much everything lol)
Well jobs to be done today! Mainly ironing, dinner, sausage cassarole, is in the slow cooker so just need to make some mash to go with that. Caitlins now out of her sulk and playing on Cams ds so fingers crossed the peace remains!

Is it Monday yet?
Remember my enthuisam yesterday that it was the weekend? Oh I'm so over it now! lol. Children have been driving me mental today! Fighting like mad when together, but when I seperate them crying they want to play together! They have a birthday party this afternoon so going to drop them off and have a bit of a break I think lol. Not managed to get much doen this morning, some ironing and general cleaning inbetween playing referee, which was scarier than the horror film I watched while ironing.
OMG what rubbish! Its shot in 'real time' so one take kinda thing, but its soooooo dull and the ending is just weird. SPOILER ALERT! The star is a girl who goes to her old home to do it up with her dad and uncle. While there a strange man somehow gets into the house, knocks out her dad and chases her about for a bit. Theres a really odd scene with a ghost girl and bottles of blood and all that until at the end you find out its really all her. Her dad and uncle used to abuse her in the house and while she blocked it out returning there made her go mad and shes the one terrorising everyone. yeah I know. lol.
Cameron made me laugh this morning, he comes out with some cracking comments, this was todays:
Mark - Come her Cam you need your face cleaned.
Cameron - Why?
Mark - You're covered in chocolate spread, you're more chocolate than face.
Cameron - Thats because I eat chocolate I dont eat face!
Kids are outside now, taking bets on how long it takes before they start fighting again.
4 minutes, thats how long it took. *sigh*

Weeks ended on a high :)
Well had some bad luck this week, the cars started acting up, the PC has got a virus and my extra work hours have got MUCH harder. Caitlins also been struggling to adapt to school. She seems fine once shes dropped off but the drop off is full of tears and begging to go home :(
Today however seems to have turned a corner :) Caitlin went into her class all on her own with NO tears, Marks mate has managed to find the problem in the pc and is trying to fix it as I type, and work has agreed to move me to another department, yey! We've also finished painting the bathroom and aim to get the kitchen and hallway done this week. Fingers crossed anyway lol. Im loving getting all this done in the house, want it all done by Chritmas which yes is a seriously tall order but I'm confident i can get it done lol. Also have a looooooong list of crafting to get done as everyones putting in their christmas orders now lol. With everything this year with the car breaking down so much, benifits being stopped/reduced and Turkey Christmas is going to be a lean one this year so everyone is getting a little bought gift and lots of homemade ones :) Not managed much crafting this week as been fighting a cold so most night have been under the blanket and cross stitching but intend to get stuck in over the weekend. Feeling good about everything right now :) hope it lasts!

Stash busting!
Well I'm kinda kicking myself lol. The past week or so I've been working non stop on an album for my friend who lost her baby, it was difficult and many tears where shed while doing it but at least felt like I was doing something for her iykwim. Was SO worried she wouldn't like it as scrapbooking is such a personal thing but she loved it. I completely forgot to take any photos though so cant share it at the moment *rolls eyes* Doing it did seem to kick start my mojo though so I did some scrapbooking last night. :)
This is a layout of Cameron and Caitlin at a place called Stanwick Lakes near us, there are loads of pools of water and other water play there but they were NOT interested in any of it, lol, think they paddled but that was about it.

Love these little buttons, seem to be using buttons more and more lately which is good as I have plenty of them. Really have to use up a LOT of my stash as in November we get our new couches and will be losing most of my storage :( At the moment the desk is under the stairs and has a large hutch on it with more stuff stacked on top. However when the couches come the desk is being moved to the other end of the room out in the open, so no hutch and no stacking. TBH NO idea where half my stuff is going to go but i LOVE my new couches so will have to make do lol. In the meantime now my kits have ended I'm trying to use up as much as possible.

Lazy day today :) Well I say lazy still have washing, ironing, cleaning and roast dinner to do but really thats lazy to me lol.

Weekend!!!!!
Dont think I've ever been so excited for it to be a weekend before lol but by god its been a long and draining week. Between the funeral, waving Caitlin off to school and taking on more challenging work at Homestart it feels like its lasted a month rather than just a week! Last night I made a nice dinner, bottle of wine, dvds, just relaxed a bit and feel so much better this morning. Do admit breakfast this morning didnt hurt either lol. Fresh pastries with coffee and homemade jam :) Had lost another 2lb this week but think thats going back on lol. Only 5lb away from my target weight though so tbh not too bothered.

Well on a good note for this week Caitlins still loving school. Had a minor setback Thursday morning bless her, when she goes into school she has to hang up her coat in the hall, then go into her class; well she insisted she didnt want me to go in with her so against my better judgement I let her go in alone. Was watching at the window waiting for her to come into the class, and waited, and waited. Go in to look for her and find her red eyed with another teacher, poor lamb had got lost :( She went into class fine after that but I went in with her Friday lol. She wasn't impressed with the fact Cameron got homework and she didnt though.

First day of school
This morning was my baby girls first day at school. :) I was a lot better with her than I was with Cameron (no tears here) but she was just SO excited it kinda rubbed off lol. She woke up this morning with a huge grin on her face, didnt even want breakfast as just wanted to go school! Every second sentence is 'Am I going to school yet?' Hopefully she'll have a great day and be just as excited tomorrow. :)

Look how proud she looks! Well in the assumption I'd be a wreck I planned a busy day lol. Got work this morning, then need shopping, then need to make a quick pizza dinner as Caitlin has dancing tonight too. I've almost finished the craft project I've been working on almost non stop for the past 2 weeks so hopefully going to do a few bits on that too. Better run!

woops, might not end well. lol
Well at the moment I'm currently 'updateing itunes' i am rubbish with this kind of thing, seriously I miss cds. last time I 'updated' it it wiped everything on my phone, so will see how it turns out this time. Just wanted a new album but apprently thats too difficuilt lol.
Well tomorrow is Caitlins first day of school :) Today is a day of prepwork lol, doing ironing, making sure she has everything and her name is in it etc. Im working tomorrow and Thursday then need to go buy paint friday so not much time elsewhere. Shes still excited about it so hopefully wont be too bad, can never predict her though :s
Ohhhh just found this photo, was something I ment to blog over the holidays but as usual time got away from me. I'm a huge Pintrest fan, wasting hours on it while waiting in queues, or watching something boring with the kids. A lot of the things on there though I think are those ideas which are good in theory but in reality never work out. Over the holidays I did do a couple though which worked out well, dirt cake was one of them :)
The name is deciving its not actually with dirt lol, though looking at the picture you can see where it came from.

Its actually layers of crushed oreos and dream whip. You're supposed to use jelly worms on top but we didnt have any so used cherrys lol. Caitlin loved making it as it was really so simple she did most of it herself and I just supervised. Was also really yum and went down great at the bbq we took it to, :)

Saying goodbye
Today was a very difficuilt day. As I mentioned before a friend of mine had her baby girl over the holidays but she unfortuntly passed at only two weeks old. Today we laid her to rest and said our goodbyes.

As sad as it was it was a really beautiful send off. Her big sisters both did a reading at the service which to be honest I was amazed at as both are only young and so brave. The image of her poor daddy carrying such a tiny coffin into the church will stay with me for a while though. There were lots of people there to support them and say goodbye to lacey-mae. We also released balloons, 4 in the shape of flamingos (she was on flamingo ward in hospital) so bet we confused a few people! lol. Hope we gave her some giggles looking down on us :)

Not a happy boy :(
Think poor Cam got a bit of a shock yesterday when he went into his new class bless him, not only has the routine changed but a lot of his friends were in a different class. As a result we had a LOT of tears this morning. :( Felt like the worst mum in the world with him crying 'But I love you Mummy I'll miss you, I just want to go home!' and I'm carrying him into school. I'm sure he'll be fine once he's settled down and made some new friends but was still hard. Speaking of hard, the craft book I'm working on is a difficult subject as got to me a bit last night, so did a very quick happier layout with an old kit. :) I'm a bit iffy about using kits now I'm not getting anymore but when we rearrange the living room in November I'm losing most of my crafting space, so really should use them up lol.
This was a really super simple one but I loved the wood effect overlay so wanted that and the photo to be the main focus. This was a scraplift from Cathys layout in the booklet but hers had a bit more detail than mine :)

I thought this was ideal really as the log the kids are sitting on is the same place my cousins and I used to play when we were younger lol.

Well more housework today :) Not much though which really is amazing me lol. I don't think I realised how much time entertaining two hyper kids took up. Caitlins more laid back and happy to play alone or just watch tv. Saying that will still be much more quiet next week when she starts school too. Think shes more ready for it than I am lol.

And life returns to normal :)
This morning was Camerons first day back and school. :) He LOVED it, no joke he ran into the school, lol, had to follow him and check he got into class ok as he just sprinted off. Must admit I couldn't believe how much I managed to get done with just the one child at home too, Shopping, cleaning, gutting both kids rooms, also took Caitlin to a new dance class tonight which she really enjoyed. Its smaller than the one she went to before so think it will work better for her.
As great as it is being able to get things done again it was a very eventful 6 weeks holiday, admittedly were as many downs as ups but focusing on the good first we went to theme parks, scavenger hunts, out to dinner and cinema loads and went camping for the first time. The kids loved every moment of that, building fires, roasting marshmallows, nature walks, will be doing it again next year for sure.
On the downs a friend of mine lost her baby at two weeks old, :( We knew she was poorly before she was born but had hoped she would be ok. My granddads cancer was also found to have returned but he had an op this morning and seems to be doing well.
I have managed to do some scrapping but can't show much of it. I did do a couple using up scraps I can share though
This was me and Caitlin at Peppa pig world, tried to use lots of photos and scraps on this one lol.

This is mark and Cameron playing computer games. Whenever Caitlin stays at my mums they have a boys night eating junk and playing games and I get banished upstairs (not that i mind, its very relaxing lol)

We've also ordered the new couch for the living room (thanks to my Dad for getting it for us on credit lol) and got some paint and wallpaper too, once Caitlin starts next week thats what I'll be working on. Probably best I keep busy with both my babies starting school!!!

crafty week
Well this weeks been quite a crafty week. :) Unfortunatly not much for me but the kids, lol. I havent managed any scrapping or anything at all. :( Admitted defeat this morning as still not done last months sketch challenge. Haven tried and did get it started but by the time I've settled kids into bed and tidied up I can just about climb the stairs to bed! Have done a lot of creative stuff with the kids though, took Caitlin to a class at the libary where she learned about africa and made a head dress

Been soooooo busy its mad! By the time kids go to bed I'm too tired to get anything done, blah. But Mum has Caitlin saturday and hopefully mark can entertain cam for a bit so I can get some time to play with paper :)

ok, getting there :)
Ok well started off the week with a HUGE to do list, but slowly gettign there now :) Unsure how granted as hardly been home lol. Managing to sell more online so garage slowly emptying too so yey! Love feeling like I'm getting stuff done, hoping to get the garage fully sorted by the end of the summer hols. Mark had hoped to be able to put a table out there but managed to convince him it just wasnt going to happen, so decided to use it as emergency storage. Both of us like to be prepared, me for weather issues such as being snowed in, Mark for zombies (yeah I know but what can you do lol) We have a few shelving sets out there already which have tinned foods on but want to do it properly, like with extra water, batteries, torches etc. OK I'm probably being a bit OTT but better safe than sorry. Was reading on pintret how to be prepared for a disaster and was amazed to read that some schools in America ask parents to donate an amount of bottled water, blankets, plus a letter for their child, so if there is a disater or an attack they're prepared for it. Scary really but you never know whats going to happen, makes me feel better to think we're a bit ready for it :)
On a less scary note lol. I did these layouts for the Twilight Cyber crop. I admit I can't for the life of me remember the criteria or who set them (and cant find it on facebook) but they are done anyway lol. This layout was done with leftovers from a class kit at the Sarahs cards retreat. Loved the swirls and the colours. The photo is from when we were in Turkey, we went to a thermal spa sulpher pool which though it stunk was so relaxing. The kids loved it and took us a while to coax them out lol. It was too hot for my mum so she was camreaman for a while. Got some great photos which I was thrilled with as I'm not usually in the photos.

This layout is actually prettier in real life. The background paper has got lots of embossing and glitter on you cant really see in the photo.
Photos are from Turkey again, :) At dinner they would have all these carved watermelons around the fruit. The puddings were amazingly presented too, with chocolate carvings and bread bowls. ohhhh I want to go back!!!

So not much planned for tomorrow, going to get painting out for the kids in the garden and get some more tidying done. Also hopefully find more bits to sell at the car boot sunday. Our washign machine just gave up the ghost so any extra pennies will be helpful!

Pintrest
Among many things I'm a pintrest addict, lol. Particually lately during the day, cant watch my TV as Criminal minds isnt really appropriate for the kids, and sitting for a coffee certainly doesnt last long enough to warrent hunting down my kindle (really need to find that thing :s) so I'll scroll through a few pages of Pintrest on my phone. To be honest its been a godsend so far this holiday. Saw loads of great ideas for the kids for things to do, and funny pictures of animals to show Cameron too; he loves animals doing daft things.
One idea I got from Pintrest was these. spaghetti hot dogs.

How funny are these! lol, Its actually amazingly easy to do, just cut up ready made hot dogs, skewer them with dried spaghetti and then boil. I did plan on taking a picture when it was cooked but it was eaten too quickly! Pretty impressive considering Cameron hates pasta, lol.
Next Pintrest masterpiece was this, dirt cake :) Another amazingly simple idea, its just 'dream topping' covered in crushed Oreos and jelly sweets. You're supposed to use worms but Daddy beat us to them so we had to use cherries lol. Caitlin had a great time making this as it needed such minimal input from me she felt she'd done it all by herself. Aunty Nicola stole a bite before I got a picture but managed to get the rest lol.

Holidays are pretty painless so far. Took caitlin to a crafting class today where she learned about indian headdress' and made one. Was really proud of her as she was the youngest there by a wide margain but joined in and really enjoyed it :) Theres an Aricain mask class next week so will try and convince cam to come along to this one lol, he stayed home today to watch Grandad build a fence round the front to cover our bins. Hated it before because as soon as you walked up to the house it was one of the first things you saw, now looks so much better. :)
Right better get to bed, up early tomorrow for a theme park trip. I'll leave with this funny comment from cameron, remember how I said he was a drama queen? Him and Caitlin were playing today, cameron fell over on the trampoline and refused to get up
Caitlin - Come on you're fine.
Cameron - No I'm not fine I'm dead!
Told you, drama queen.

How is this my first post this month!
I can't believe its August 5th already!! This summer is flying past! Ive been meaning to share these layouts for the past few day but since computer time is limited with kids at home, and as I've been selling lots on facebook (again lol) just havent had the time to blog.
Anyway, these are more from the Twilight cyber crop, this was a challenge set by Lisa, rules were:
1 - Use 3 sheets of paper you bought but now dislike - done
2 - Use 4 pictures or more - done
3 - Use a piece of equipment you never use - used my mists
4 - Use your favourite ever sketch - dont really have a fave sketch so scraplifted my first published layout, which is obviously special to me :)
5 - Make a double layout with all this - done :)
I thought I was going to hate this challenge as so much of it is 'use things you dont like' but actually really enjoyed it. One of Lisas other challenges involved using a funny photo or title, which I got mixed up on and did here but oh well lol. These photos are from my mums 50th, where even though it was March the weather was better than it is now and the kids all had water pistols lol. They had a great time terrorising the adults so I wanted the layout to be about that fun they had, so i came up with 'Our demands are simple'
Layout one shows the kids squirting everyone

Sister not impressed lol

Then the second layout had a list of 'demands' which were:
- Bedtime is when WE say so.
- Cerial is an acceptable dinner food
- Brushing teeth isn't important, falsies look fun.
- Theres no such thing as too many toys
- Always love us unconditionally

Each 'Demand' has a button next to it except for the final demand where I used a heart charm.

Well busy day again today, got errands to run and shopping to get before hopefully relaxing at a mates house this afternoon while the kids play. How well they play though remains to be seen! Camerons been SUCH a whinge lately! Dont know if hes still poorly, tired or just bored but crying at the daftest things, he had an early night last night so hopefully will be in a better mood today :)

A great day :)
Well Sunday was SUCH a lovely day, :) Good thing too as looks like the last bit of sun we'll be having for a while! Started off by taking kids to car boot sale at Wicksteed. Same one Mum and I did last week but was just buying this time no selling, lol. Got fair few bargains for the kids including this for Caitlin, anybody remember these? I loved Keypers when I was young, I didnt have this one but either my cousin or sister did I can't remember. I had the bunny and the snail :) Love getting things for Caitlin that I had, reliving my childhood is one of the best parts about having kids. lol.

After the car boot, park and going out for lunch (yummy :) I came home to do more scrapping from the twilight cyber crop this weekend.
Jessies challenge :) Picked Use more than one photo, two different alphas and 3 patterned papers. The Yellow is a pp I just used the plain side lol.
This is the floating globe at Peppa pig land, the kids (and me and mark lol) were fasinated with this, the globe is a solid piece of granite and isnt connected to the base at all it just sits there. the water pressure underneath moves the ball ad the slightest touch from even caitlin made it spin round as though it weighed nothing. BUT if left to spin alone it will right itself to mirror exactly the earths axis with the north pole at the top and at an exact 23.5 degree angle :)

This was a card challenge from Karen. The challenge was to make a card using any inspiration from hers you liked. I dont do cards so scraplifted the design for a layout instead :)

Well i did actually start this post yesterday but life keeps getting in the way. paricually with Cam being off school. Think hes going to phone childline if I take him shops or town again, lol. Today wasnt so bad though, just one quick shop for milk this morning then down to see Caitlins sports day :) She did really well and came second in running and hurdles, first in throwing and 3rd in the egg and spoon race. She loved it which I was pleased at because did worry she was going to refuse to do it!

My week in pictures
I remembered to do it this week :)
Saturday me and Mark had a dvd night, been watching Castle and so addicted! Both of us loves firefly and its very similar humor plus crime thriller so all round great in my book :) We'd got some sweets from asda that day including these

Anybody else remember these? I used to love them as a kid and not seen them for ages. :)
Sunday Mum and I did a car boot sale, it was SO SLOW compared to how it usually is and we both only made £30 each. Granted I did spend £15 or so on bits so my own fault really lol. You can see how impressed mum was.

Monday was a lovely day so took the kids round my mums on their bikes. Caitlin attempted riding with no stabilisers for the first time and was so confident on it :) Will be trying more often.

Tuesday was Mollies birthday, she was having a small party at the local bowling ally so I took Cam along. Caitlin hates bowling so she wasnt bothered, lol. Cameron won from his team so had a very happy little boy lol.

Wednesday we took the car to get the brakes fixed, £140 later all done, joy. Was much happier when I got home to find this on my doorstep. Was a prize from the ATDML cyber crop and its IDEAL for a project I have in mind for Caitlins new room :)

As the kids had had such a boring Wednesday we took them to the cinema Thursday to see this. Was a really good film and nice to sit in an air conditioned room lol.

Friday I have no photos of yet lol, yesterday was the start of the twilight cyber crop on facebook so will hopefully have lots of layouts to show you tomorrow :)

Lists
Im dreadful for lists. Love having everything organised and sorted and making lists. As it's the summer holiday, like most Mums I bet, I'm struggling to stay on top of the usual jobs and not kill my overhyper son lol so I've been making more lists than usual. Shopping lists, housework lists, things for the kids to do lists, bill lists, the list goes on (see what I did there lol) so to keep them all together I've been using the book I got in Turkey.

Was a bargain at £3! Was one of those things I bought because it looked cool but had no idea what to with it, probably would be nicer to use it for something a bit more impressive but could be waiting a long time for something like that lol.
Well off to the cinema tomorrow to see the new ice age film :) Got the kids a big bag of sweets each so going to get a costa, rela and watch the film with hopefully little interuptions! lol

Sunny day!
Well woke up this morning to the sun shining :) Caitlin was supposed to go nursery but decided to keep her off and let her and Cam play. Glad I did as we ended up having a great day :) Played in the garden and had a picnic, then took their bikes over to the park. My sister with there with the girls and Caitlin wanted a go on Mollies bike which doesn't have stabalisers. Told her I didn't think she was ready but Caitlin being Caitlin insisted she was. Once again she showed me :) First time I let go she carried on riding for a bit before falling! Tried a few more times before she'd got bored but she did really well. :) Going to try and take her a couple times a week and hopefully by school she'll be doing it on her own. :) Thought seeing her do it might inspire Cameron to try but no chance lol.
Sunday Mum and I did a car boot sale, was really quiet so only made about £30 each but cleared out some junk :) Also got some amazing bargains, a HUGE box of lego including a lego castle for only £3! Cameron (and daddy) were thrilled :) Some dvds and a few dress up outfits for caitlin and these for me :)

2 Stampin up sets for £3 :) Wanted the forest friends one for a while but they're so expencive! Don't often see crafting stuff at car boots so snapped it up :) Just need to get some mojo back now to use them! lol

Good feeling
Dont know what it is but woke up this morning with a good feeling about today. :) Have quite a nice day planned, off to 'work' in the morning then coffee with my mum this afternoon. Marks having a good few days so taking advantage of it while it lasts lol.
Managed to photograph the layouts I did on my birthday, unfortunatly my mojo has done a runner since then but oh well. This is one I did of Cameron using up some of a VERY old SCI kit I bought from QVC. I think it was about 3 years ago now. Love these photos as he's laughing really hard at Mr Bean on the tv.

You can't see it very well in the photo but I used a rub on saying 'laughter' for the title.

Love this one. :) Ally bally is a scottish lullaby that has been sung to all the kids in my family :) My great gran sang it to my gran, my gran to my mum, and so on. Caitlin even now loves to climb on my lap and be cuddled while I sing it.

Last one for now :) Did this with the leftover bits from my kit swap kit. Also used my new washi tape I got for my birthday. Loving that stuff. :)

Cut lots of the circles from the paper to make a cluster. Loved how they had chickens on them which I think goes well with the whole 'chicken spots' theme, lol.

Almost school holidays :) Really looking forward to having Cam home for a while, feel like by the time hes home from school, had dinner, bath and homework its bedtime so dont really get much chance to spend time with him iykwim. Fingers crossed we actually get some summer as would be nice to go to the park and have picnics and all that stuff we usually do.

Awol again lol
Well since my birthday i admit I've been awol, lol. I did try and do my photo a day but been another hectic week lol. One of the big things was Caitlin has her transfer day at school. I've been dreading it as she is SUCH a mummys girl and still cries sometimes when I take her into nursery. She's been going she was 9 months old so you think she'd be used to it by now! Anyway I could not have been more amazed. She loved it! She went off on her own fine and actually cried when we had to leave :) Shes now so excited to go and keeps showing everyone the brochure of the school, such a weight off my mind.
Today was such a great day too :)Was the next sale this morning so mum and I were outside waiting at 3:30 lol. To be honest it wasnt anywhere near as busy as it has been in the past. In fact I think it's the quietest I've ever seen it. That said the people that were there pretty much swept the shelves, was so little left by the time we were done the staff were putting out the non-sale clothes. I was SO happy though as got enough clothes for the kids, plus all the stuff I needed to re-do Caitlins room. :) Bedsheet, curtains, wall art, lights. Only thing I couldnt get was the rug :( So mum and I decided to go over to Northampton to check there lol. Got the rug and a few more clothes, plus toys in the mother care sale for christmas! yes I'm shopping for Christmas now. Lets face it summers gone so I'm skipping ahead. lol
Speaking of summer its almost the holidays!!! I'm looking forward to spending some time with both my babies :) Planning lots of little bits and bobs to do with them. caitlins requesting lots of baking, she's really into that lately. We made chocolate muffins last week and she loved it. :)

I was really good and didnt even have one :) Doing really well on my diet and exercise, bought some 14s n the Next sale today and they fit great!! :)

Happy birthday to me :)
Well today I'm 28 :) Which Cameron is taking great delight in telling everyone we come across, lol, it was a LONG walk to school this morning!
Mark 'surprised' me with some craft bits. :) I really bought them myself in the Sarahs cards sale a while back but I'm not complaining lol. :) Cameron and Caitlin gave me a kiss and a cuddle each. Best birthday gifts ever :)

Lately I've been slightly addicted to Pintrest lol. I've started thinking about Christmas and gifts to make, but I saw this great idea of taking a photo of your daughter in your wedding dress to show at her wedding. :) So a short photoshoot yesterday and this was my fave. Shes laughing at the Rugrats on tv.

As we're very skint, rather than going out today I'm just going to relax, scrap and read. :) I got a head start on the scrapping last night lol using this kit from a recent swap on UKS. The idea is that someone makes a page kit up for you and includes a sketch, you then need to make a layout of the sketch using only the items in the kit. Loved the papers in mine and managed to make this page and started a second too.

Used lots of Ice stickles to go with the Ice theme.

Well I'm off to carry on scrapping. :) Hope everyone has a wonderful day

Awol
Well I've just finished putting the washing out, sat down and the heavens opened. I'm ignoring it because I'm NOT going out to get it lol.
Well I've been having a little break from blogging. Mainly because we went away for the weekend, then had all the housework to catch up on when we got back. Never fails to amaze me how I can leave the house clean when I leave, yet within an hour of being home its a tip! Poor mark also had his Birmingham hospital appointment on Tuesday which knocked him out for wednesday, then we had Caitlins introduction evening on Thursday, and Camerons school report, so busy busy!
I've also started this :) A few of my friends were raving about it so at £5 form play I thought it was worth a shot. day one and two I felt like I was dying, day 3 not too bad and day 4 I felt fine afterwards :) Theres 3 levels on it and you do each level for 7 days. dreading moving up a stage though as saw some clips of the exercises and its scary looking! Does feel like its taking effect though, my 'mummy pouch' is certainly smaller. :)

Start of the week was also reveal day on Sketchy scrappers. I did this layout a while ago but couldnt share it until reveal day :)

Havent done much scrapping lately, have been reading that '50 shades of grey' though. Onto book two and so far, not seeing the reason for all the hype :( Pretty badly written and really want to shake some sense into some of the charecters. But I've started so I'll finish, lol
